Bhutan is no ordinary place. It is the last great Himalayan kingdom shrouded in mystery and magic, where a traditional Buddhist culture embraces global developments. Bhutan is a beautiful country with every inch a picture-postcard scene. The temples and Dzongs are all stunning buildings each highly decorated. In spite of the short time, we will visit mainstream Bhutanese milestones in Paro and Thimphu. In Paro, we visit Rinpung Dzong, national gallery and Kichu Lhakhang, the most established Bhutanese sanctuary before climbing to the unprecedented Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery the following day. In Thimphu, we visit the portion of its mainstream milestones including the Memorial Chorten, convent Temple, Bhutanese conventional painting school, society, legacy gallery, and others.
Bhutan Tour for 8 days. Bhutan is a small nation with a population of less than a million, wedged between two giants in the Himalayas; China to the North and India to the South. Bhutan is a mountainous country with magnificent peaks, beautiful passes, vast lush valleys, and glacier-fed rivers. The quaint nation is known for its unique culture and its unique philosophical ways of living. Conservation of nature and protection of culture co-exists beautifully with modernization. The development of infrastructure has never hindered the traditional architecture as both have amalgamated perfectly. The Bhutanese people measure their development in a much humane manner called Gross National Happiness and not by wealth or GDP. For most of its life, the nation has lived in isolation completely cut off from the rest of the world. This gave birth to a unique culture distinct from the rest of the world. Its rich history is dictated by greatly revered Buddhist saints, valiant hero warriors and giant fortresses where great battles were fought. All can be seen fully preserved to this day. Bhutan is also the only country in the world that absorbs more carbon dioxide than it produces hence bagging the name of the only carbon sink in the world. All of its aspects it offers endless possibilities for people traveling there to have an eye-opening experience. The only way to experience such serenity and beauty is by traveling there. |
