Everest trekking including three passes Chola Pass, Khongmala Pass, and Renjo La pass is one of the outstanding treks being organized in the Everest region of northeastern Himalayas of Nepal. This trekking offers an alternative to the classical treks to Everest Base Camp. Everest High Passes trekking is best for experiencing both cultural as well as the natural beauty of the upper parts of the Himalayas.
The brilliant view of Everest from its bottom to top can be one of the best scenarios of yours during the trek. The trekking includes three different passes which are known as the most challenging passes in the Himalayas namely Khongmala Pass (5535m/18159 ft), Renjo La Pass (5360m/17585ft), and Cho La Pass (5368m/17611ft). We pass through the Sherpa villages-Namche Bazaar and Khumjung to the Gokyo Valley and the Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest in Nepal Himalaya. From Gokyo RI, one can have a glance at the peaks above 8000m such as Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. Descending to Phortse, make a high traverse to the village of Pangboche and climb on towards Everest Base Camp. The return route leads through Dingboche and Tengboche before descending the Khumbu Valley to Lukla. The first Pass we experience is The Khongmala Pass 5535 m which is on the highest of all these three Passes. There are many options for additional exploration and high altitude walking with the crossing of Cho La; a 5638m high pass into Khumbu. It is also termed as one of the most difficult passes. The last Pass to be experienced during the trek is Renjo La Pass at an altitude of 5360 m. During the trek, you will get a fine chance of visiting the best of Gokyo valley. Gokyo is located in the small valley immediately west of the Everest (Khumbu) valley and is far less developed and crowded than its better-known neighbor to the east. The Gokyo Valley is the only traditional permanent settlement of this area. This trekking provides you the opportunity to be familiar with the flora and fauna of the upper Himalayas. The Rhododendron, birch, etc are present there to accompany you on the path during the trek. The rare Musk deer can also be sometimes seen in the trails. This region is also the habitat for the rare species of snow leopard and red panda.
Normally you begin the trek begins from Namche bazaar after you board a flight being conducted daily for Lukla and trek up to Padding. This trek includes the overall experience of the mighty Himalayas, unique Sherpa and Tibetan Culture, Magnificent flora and fauna and the amazing natural lakes. Overall; this trekking is one of the idlest ways to experience the natural as well as cultural diversity present in the Everest reg
