05nts/06days The Kathmandu Valley located in Nepal, lies at the crossroads of ancient civilizations of Asia, and has at least 130 important monuments, including several pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Buddhists. Pokhara lies in the centre of Kaski District, Gandaki Zone and the Western Development Region. The city is located approximately 200 km west of the country's capital, Kathmandu. Three out of the ten highest mountains in the world — Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manaslu — are within 30 miles of the city. Nagarkot is a village and Village Development Committee located 32 km east of Kathmandu, Nepal in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone. At an elevation of 2,195 meters, it is considered one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur District. It is renowned for its sunrise view of the Himalaya including Mount Everest as well as other snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal.
Kathmandu
Kathmandu is the capital of the kingdom, situated in a valley which is an open-air museum of famous sites, ancient temples and shrines, golden pagodas and are inspiring deities, is a city of inexhaustible historic artistic and cultural interest. Several beautiful and interesting villages and towns surrounding the valley offer ideal destinations for mini treks. The dazzling Himalayan peaks are visible from several points on the mountains around the valley.
The capital is quite up to date in terms of comfort and convenience boasting luxury hotels, bars, restaurants, shops, and casinos. Transportation is convenient and inexpensive. Shoppers may purchase unusual gifts and souvenirs from an interesting assortment of items such as handicrafts, carpets, wooden artworks, bronze casting and metalwork, thankas, Nepali paper prints, and readymade garments.
"There are nearly as many temples as there are houses and as many idols as inhabitants here, not being a fountain or river or a hill within its limits that is not consecrated to one or the other of the Hindu or Buddhist deities " - wrote a foreigner a long time ago.
Important places to visit in Kathmandu include the Darbar Square, the Pashupathinath temple, the Swoyambhu Nath Stupa, the Boudha Nath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square and Patan City. Besides, most tourists to Kathmandu rave about the Himalayan Mountain flight, which is now one of Nepal's big attractions.
Pokhara – the city of lakes and caves
Pokhara is the second-largest city of Nepal after Kathmandu. It is just at a distance of 200 km from the capital city and is easily accessible. There are numerous tourist buses, microbuses and local buses that take passengers in and out of Pokhara every day. Just five hours drive from Kathmandu, and you end up in a completely different place, with a completely different landscape and an entirely different feel from the buzzing hubbub of Kathmandu.
Pokhara is the home to numerous lakes and caves, a modern yet welcoming city life and not to mention, a plethora of peaks of the Himalayas. The lakes in Pokhara include Fewa Lake, Begnas Lake, Rupa Lake, Gude Lake, Neurani Lake, and Maidi Lake among many others. The peaks than can be closely observed from Pokhara include Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manaslu as these are within 30 miles from the city, and all of these peaks are more than 8,000 meters high. The city is also the gateway for trekking to the Annapurna Circuit. The notable caves here are Bat Cave, Mahendra Cave, and Gupteshwor Cave among others.
There are two major notable hilltops in Pokhara that serve as a perfect getaway, the World Peace Pagoda at the southern shore of Fewa lake and Sarangkot, a beautiful hill at the north-west part of Pokhara. The newest attraction of Pokhara is Paragliding. Now you can paraglide from Sarangkot over the famous Fewa Lake and land at the bottom of the city.
Nagarkot
Nagarkot, at an altitude of 2,175 meters above the sea level, is the most popular touristic destination out of the Kathmandu Valley. It is the favorite weekend gateway among those seeking mountain views in comfort and quiet. At sunrise, the Himalayan range, stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west past Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east, emerges from the darkness to greet the happy visitors with its awe-inspiring majesty and beauty. For those wishing to stretch their legs and enjoy the fresh morning air, there are charming walking trails as well as a lookout tower from which the sights can be taken. Getting to Nagarkot is easy that doesn't take more than two hours by a tourist bus.
Among all the places for mountain viewing around Kathmandu Valley, Nagarkot is usually considered to be the best. The views go from Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha). You can also see Manaslu (8,463m), Ganesh Himal (7,111m), and Langtang (7,246m). Many people go up to Nagarkot in the afternoon, stay in a hotel in Nagarkot, and then get up at dawn to see the Himalaya Mountains during the sunrise.
There is a lookout tower south of the village where you can get a 360º view of the scenery. It is an easy one hour walk from the main hotel area. To get there you have to pass an army checkpoint, and they will only let you pass in the morning. You can go to Nagarkot in the afternoon and stay overnight and view the mountain at sunrise.

It is a world-famous hills station commanding breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas, Rolling hills, Deep valley, Lush pine forest in a quaint rural atmosphere. The panoramic view of the major peaks including Mt. Everest, Ganesh, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa and Gauri Shankar can be seen from here. the weather conditions are clear, you could see the Annapurna range too from Nagarkot. Where an excellent view of snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan Ranges in eastern Nepal can be seen (if weather permits), as well as renowned for the spectacular sunrise. Though Mt. Everest is far from Nagarkot, it can be viewed from the Nagarkot Tower. Nagarkot route is the entrance gate to Everest and other Himalayas mountains. Bhaktapur also known as Bhadgaon.

Day 1: Kathmandu (KTM)
Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport (TIA). After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our representative with your NAMING board at the arrival gate (outside the airport terminal) you will be greeted by a representative. Then you will be transferred to the hotel where we had booked in our private vehicle. You will welcome by Welcome Drink as our representative will assist you with the check-in procedures. The rest of the day is free to relax or you may enjoy the environment of the location or Local stores. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 02: Kathmandu(KTM)
Early morning breakfast at the hotel. At the very first hour our representative will be at hotel premises with a vehicle then will proceed for a city tour of Kathmandu.
AM: Kathmandu-Durbar-Square & SwayambhunathStupa / PM: Patan-Durbar-Square. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03-: Kathmandu – Pokhara (210km / 6 – 7 hrs. drive / 20 – 25min by flight)
Breakfast at Hotel, AM: Drive to Pokhara. On the way, Manakamana Temple visit optional – surface option. Overnight in Pokhara.

Morning breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast drive /fly back to Kathmandu via the same route & drive to Nagarkot. The rest of the day is free to relax or you may enjoy the environment of the location Overnight in Nagarkot.
Day 06 – Nagarkot -Departure
